Right now, we have an exciting job opening for you in our People Experience (PX/HR) organization.
Our mission in People Experience is to attract, recruit, develop, engage, and retain the people that build the future for Volvo Cars. We support and facilitate Volvo Cars’ strategic transformation with our HR deliverables, and we are on an exciting change journey.
You will be supporting Manufacturing Engineering (ME) which is a global organization with approximately 1000 employees all over the world. At the PX Manufacturing Engineering, Procurement & Supply Chain (P&SC) we are a team of 7 PX Partners supporting the global P&SC function at Volvo Cars. Together with our business, we handle the most precious resource for the growth of the company – our talents. Our mission is to attract, recruit, develop, engage and retain the talents that build the future for Volvo Cars. As a Senior People Experience Partner, you will support one of our units in ME based at our site in Gothenburg, Sweden. Much of the work will also be focused on implementing a number of key strategic projects and initiatives. You will report to the Head of People Experience for Manufacturing Engineering, Procurement & Supply Chain.
What you will do:
We are a team of skilled professionals that believe we can make a true difference in the business by developing and supporting the leaders to bring out the best in people. We approach our work with a positive attitude, and a high level of integrity, happy to support each other and have fun together!
In the position as Senior HR Partner with us, you will be a member of the leadership team(s), driving change and new ways of working within your business group, as well as your HR home base. Focus on HR strategic activities influencing the business agenda and identify organizational capabilities required to implement the business strategy. Examples of this could be identifying organizational efficiencies, organizational design, competence transfers, etc.
You will also:
• Co-design, lead and facilitate key HR project delivery in line with defined People Plan priorities
• Facilitate processes and dialogues on topics such as employee engagement, retention, career and succession enablement, performance management, and competence development
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across units including central PX teams to ensure a great customer experience, through accuracy and pace of delivery
• Deliver sound generalist HR support, acting as a key point-of-contact and a trusted partner for the provision of professional advice and support to a range of HR activities and programs
What you’ll bring:
We believe that you have a university degree in HR or other equivalent areas together with several years of relevant work experience “on the line”, including practical experience providing HR advice to colleagues and senior leaders. To do this you have subject matter expertise in some or several of the following disciplines performance management, compensation & rewards, labor affairs, competence development, and organizational change.
You are comfortable using all Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Since you will be supporting Manufacturing Engineering a curiosity and interest in this area is an advantage.
Who are you?
You have a clear business understanding and insights into how the business agenda supports people imperatives and future organisational needs. You have a continuous improvement mindset, proactive attitude and agility. Great interpersonal skills and effective relationship building across organisations will be key. Furthermore, you have the ability to balance the strategic and the operational with strong implementation and drive for execution.
You have a positive attitude with a great sense of urgency and delivery. You know how to make the best sense of the available data while you’re open to learning new tools and you know how to visualize your key findings for your colleagues and client groups. You are able to deliver on your own initiative and prioritize independently, with an interest in personal learning and development of yourself and the people around you.
