  Job Summary:
  
  The Senior IT Business Analyst - Accounting Systems serves as a functional IT partner supporting a heavily customized ERP and accounting systems environment. This role works closely with Accounting, Payroll, Operations, and IT teams to troubleshoot issues, gather business requirements,
  
  support testing efforts, document processes, and improve operational workflows across the organization. This is not a software development role. The position is focused on functional systems support, business analysis, ERP-related troubleshooting, and user support within a legacy/customized systems environment.
  
  Key Responsibilities:
  
  
  • Partner with Accounting, Payroll, Operations, and IT teams to gather and document requirements.
  • Translate business needs into detailed functional specifications for developers and technical teams.
  • Support and troubleshoot issues within ERP and accounting systems environments.
  • Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for system enhancements and changes.
  • Create and maintain process documentation, functional specifications, process flows, and user guides.
  • Assist with system configuration, testing, and implementation activities. •
  • Provide support to end users and assist with Help Desk ticket triage and issue resolution.
  • Research system issues independently and coordinate with developers when technical escalation is required.
  • Support ongoing process improvement initiatives and identify operational efficiencies.
  • Become a subject matter expert in assigned ERP/accounting system areas.
  
  Qualifications:
  
  
  • 5+ years of experience in Business Systems Analysis, ERP support, or functional IT support roles.
  • Experience supporting accounting, payroll, AP, AR, or financial business processes.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical teams.
  • Experience troubleshooting functional system issues and supporting end users.
  • Comfortable working in legacy or highly customized systems environments.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
  • Experience with Visio, Jira, Confluence, or similar tools preferred.
  • Basic SQL knowledge or query experience is a plus.
  • Experience in construction, manufacturing, industrial, logistics, or distribution environments preferred.
  
  The ideal candidate will come from a functional ERP or business systems background and have experience partnering closely with accounting or finance teams. This person should be comfortable operating in environments with older/customized systems, solving problems independently, supporting end users, and helping drive process improvements.
