      This position provides decision-quality data and technical expertise to divisional leadership. Responsibilities include overseeing the design and development of business data solutions to provide leadership with relevant, timely, and accurate data insights.

      Position Compensation Range:

      $128,000.00 - $216,000.00

      Pay Rate Type:

      Salary

      Compensation may vary based on the job level and your geographic work location. Relocation support is offered for eligible candidates.

      Primary Accountabilities

      • Develop and deliver a comprehensive business data strategy that enables optimized business solutions through comprehensive and robust datasets.
      • Identifies new technology platforms required to meet business needs or strategies, partnering with stakeholders.
      • Leads a team in the execution of the strategic data goals of the division and maintain and optimize divisional business data environments.
      • Designs, builds, and maintains the business data platform, applications, databases, data pipelines, and tools for a business facing function.
      • Identifies new technology platforms required to meet business needs, collaborates with divisional leaders to design and drive business data strategy.
      • Provides guidance and technical leadership to staff on evolving data tools and technologies.
      • Creates a collaborative, performance-driven work environment by facilitating and fostering trust, transparency, and inclusion. Works with team members to set clear goals, provide feedback, perform performance assessments, and support on-going development.
      • Leads with influence and expertise. Actively contributes to division or department leadership team. Communicates and supports organization mission, vision, values, policies, and practices.
      • Develop Technical Talent
      • Generate innovative ideas and leverage capabilities on a multi-cloud platform with the ability to execute proof of concepts effectively.


      Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements

      • Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support or service.
      • Demonstrated experience working with cloud computing platforms (e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure), and with networking and cloud security concepts.
      • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
      • Extensive knowledge and understanding of creating information and data strategies.
      • Demonstrated experience working with insurance industry data and data systems in a business setting.
      • Demonstrated experience planning, managing, and executing large complex data management initiatives.
      • Demonstrated effective leadership skills.
      • Advanced proficiency with data modeling and ETL from relational/non-relational databases.
      • Advanced proficiency with relevant object oriented programming languages
      • Demonstrated experience with distributed data processing
      • Demonstrated experience with ingestion and transformation for structure and unstructured data in batch or real time
      • Demonstrated experience Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Docker, CloudFormation, Terraform, etc.)
      • Solid understanding of software engineering tools and workflows (i.e. Jenkins, CI/CD, git)
