Are you passionate about driving financial excellence while managing complex financial metrics in a high-growth environment? Join our team as we build and optimize capacity efficiency that secure our long-term capital investment return and reduce unit costs. In this strategic role, you will lead financial planning for GenAI capacity.
Key job responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end capital expenditure planning for GenAI capacity, developing strategic financial roadmaps that balance customer experience with capital efficiency and unit cost reduction.
- Build and manage a high-performing team that drives financial excellence in capacity management, creating mechanisms to identify barriers and developing scalable solutions for process improvement.
- Partner with product team to negotiate long term contracts, leveraging financial analysis to secure advantageous terms while maintaining quality standards.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators for return of capitals, implementing data-driven mechanisms to continuously improve financial outcomes and reduce the cost to construct.
- Drive strategic financial initiatives that support AWS's GenAI capacity investment, balancing immediate operational needs against long-term business objectives while maintaining rigorous financial controls.- 12+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, and Computer Science)
- 5+ years of hiring, leading and developing teams experience- 8+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- 8+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
- 8+ years of mentoring junior finance and/or business team members experience
- 5+ years of working with senior staff (e.g. c-suite) experience
- MBA, or CPA
- 5+ years of performing financial and ad hoc analysis using data reporting tools experience
- 10+ years of positions that require analysis and reporting financial results experience
- 8+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
- 7+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
- 6+ years of directly managing and leading a team of 10+ members experience

Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
