Job Description

- Lead the development, preparation and implementation of the full funnel media plans for key brand concept / campaign for brand adidas.
- Define role of each media in holistic media strategy and develop optimum media plan under it.
- Closely collaborate with other Brand Activation functional members to operate media planning / buying process efficiently.
- Optimize media buying through orchestration of media / category mix and phasing of key brand concept / campaign’s media budget.
- Negotiate quotations with vendors by setting clear objectives and expectations, and evaluate and recommend pricing levels for all media purchases
- Post-evaluate campaigns and competitors’ performance and collates research and results into regular quality reports
- Build strong relationship with media agencies, vendors and media owners
- Constantly review the internal process with local and APAC stakeholders to improve the performance of Media Activation as a team.
- Responsible for the recruitment of additional or replacement team members.

- Compliance to MWB guidelines
- Knowledge of the full marketing mix (advertising, events, sponsorship, retail , PR, digital ) and media planning and buying with a major brand or retailer (sporting goods industry preferred)
- Ability to develop local media plan following global guidelines
- Marketing budget planning and management
- Strong track record at building relationships and partnering with internal stakeholders on complex business problems to develop actionable recommendations on strategic and operational level.
- Excellent project management skill including the ability to work on several projects on a local and global level simultaneously
- Outstanding problem-solving skills to identify, analyze, and propose solutions to various technical and business issues
- Specify new processes, products and/or standards based on organizational strategy
- Implement business strategies with some impact on business unit and function results
- Advanced user of MS Office suite of products
- Proven leadership and managerial skills; Set clear objectives for team members; Accountable for performance and salary reviews; Provide expertise in supervised area
- University degree in Business or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum 4-7 years of experience with broad and deep knowledge in paid media including performance media.
- Fluent communication in both English and local language (Japanese) preferred.
- Experience of managing direct response campaigns to ROI, ROAS, CPA, CPL, and CPI
- Ideally have experience of working internationally and in settings requiring cross-cultural sensitivity
- Excellent English skills and F luent Japanese p referred
