The WW Ops Privacy Team manages privacy for Amazon Operations. Our focus is to earn and maintain trust and everything we do is based on that. This leader acts as a privacy subject matter expert and works with Amazon builders and legal to ensure customer trust and privacy is factored into all decisions.
Responsibilities:
- Lead Ops Privacy Bar Raiser program, with both direct and indirect reports.
- Lead Privacy Champion Program for Operations.
- Manage privacy consults/workflows for Operations and ensure privacy is considered in projects and decisions.
- Perform operational deep dives on privacy-related processes and systems.
- Identify, gather, track, and report privacy metrics .
- Manage several projects simultaneously with a sense of urgency.
- Comfortable dealing with ambiguity.
- Must be a good human that enjoys being part of a fun team.
About the team
The WW Ops Privacy team is committed to ensuring that any individual whose personal data is processed by Amazon Operations, is never surprised by the personal data we collect, process, or share. WW Ops Privacy leads Operations in company-wide privacy planning and public policy strategy, develops and drives organizational privacy initiatives, and accelerates informed privacy decision making.

- 9+ years in Privacy
- Former role in privacy with knowledge of regulatory and industry requirements and standards:
- 3+ years leading projects with tight deadlines that involve the use of automated and manual systems and supporting internal customers across the globe
- Proven knowledge of domestic and global privacy regulations and applying them in a complex technology environment.
- Professional certifications in the privacy (IAPP)
- Ability to work on a diverse team or with a diverse range of coworkers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. You will prepare reports and make presentations to senior level management. You will interact with various levels of employees to collect and communicate information.
- Ability to work with little to no supervision.
- Ability to create and maintain strong network with corporate peers.
- Must be a good human that enjoys being part of a fun team
- Ability to work and multitask in a fast-paced, technical environment.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $164,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $271,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
