      As a senior network engineer, you’ll be relied upon for the architecture, engineering, and oversight of the company’s entire network, including locations in Waltham, Massachusetts, and San Diego, California. Our ideal candidate will possess a decade or more of network engineering experience, as well as excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative spirit.

      Key Responsibilities

      • Designing and implementing highly available network solutions and improving the efficiency of current networks across several locations
      • Maintaining load-balancing solutions and firewall policy
      • Managing wired and wireless network infrastructure
      • Performing network maintenance outside of business hours
      • Acting as primary on-call engineer, providing 24/7 response to network outages
      • Investigating faults in the network and updating network equipment to the latest firmware releases
      • Performing vulnerability remediation and working with our Information Security team to mitigate threats

      Core Strengths and Skills

      • Expert knowledge and experience with Layer 2 and Layer 3 protocols, including HSRP, Spanning Tree, and VPC; and experience designing and implementing dynamic routing solutions, such as BGP, EIGRP, and OSPF
      • Expert knowledge and experience maintaining Cisco switches, Palo Alto firewalls, Meraki wireless, DNS, as well as ClearPass and NAC
      • Experience configuring and supporting QoS over WAN connections
      • Experience troubleshooting VoIP and video conferencing issues at the network level
      • Proficiency with products and services from ISP providers
      • Experience collecting and analyzing packet captures using Wireshark
      • 10 or more years of network engineering experience
      • Industry certifications (e.g., CCIE, CCNP, CCDP, PCNSA, and PCNSE) a plus
