      An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Paramedic to join the Offender Health Directorate working at HMP Lincoln.

      To provide high quality emergency care and minor injury treatment to patients with both primary care and acute care needs in a prison setting by playing an active part in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the patients care.

      To provide basic leadership to junior staff by maintaining professional standards ensuring adherence to all relevant policies and procedures to ensure the delivery of high quality care.

      To provide support and supervision for junior qualified and unqualified staff by helping the line manager with staff development and by providing a first point of contact for patients when on duty.

      Main duties of the job

      This role requires a Registered Paramedic to work as part of a team delivering care to patients both within the Healthcare Centres and on the Wings / Houseblocks within the prison environment.

      You will be part of a high quality and motivated team who provide integrated healthcare (physical healthcare, mental health and substance misuse services). Our services include elements of traditional primary care combined with elements of secondary Care Delivery. This is an ideal opportunity to try something new or add new prisons to your experience if you are already experienced in Health and Justice Settings.

      The Offender Health Directorate is one of the largest and most successful providers of prison healthcare in the UK. The Directorate provide physical, mental health and substance misuse healthcare services in prisons across the East Midlands, Lincolnshire & Leicestershire.
