      The role

      The ideal Senior QA Engineer for Kin + Carta is innovative, passionate about test automation, looks to continually learn, and enjoys sharing expertise. Strong verbal and written communication are a must. Experience working in an Agile Scrum development environment, or in a consulting capacity is a plus.

      Role responsibilities

      • Leading internal initiatives to benefit the support and growth of our practice as a whole
      • Organizing and managing the execution of growth related goals
      • Championing the casting and hiring process to align quality engineers with project needs while prioritizing the quality engineers’ career development goals
      • Identifying current gaps in maturity for our teams and team members as well as delivering solutions to increase the maturity of each
      • Mentoring our Quality Engineers by educating them on proper practices and techniques as well as being a coach for their career development
      • Performing the Quality Architect role with a partial allocation of their time and effort
      • Being a champion for quality best practices and industry trends
      • Building trust and strengthening relationships with client contacts

      Minimum qualifications

      • 7+ years of experience writing automated tests or developing features including but not limited to writing and executing web or mobile application automated tests and automated API tests
      • 4+ years of experience leading large teams
      • 7+ years of experience working in agile/scrum environments
      • Very strong skills in communicating clearly and negotiating in English and Spanish
      • Proficient with building front-end automation tests using Selenium and Appium or similar tools
      • Proficient in building automated tests for APIs using RestAssured, RestSharp, Postman, or GraphQL
      • Proficient coding in Java, JavaScript, Python, and/or C#
      • Highly motivated self-starter, a team player who works well on cross-functional teams
      • Strong analytical skills and ability to portray information in a logical and well-organized manner
      • Proven record of developing strong, positive relationships with the software development team, especially developers and business analysts

      Preferred qualifications

      • Strong executive presence balanced with approachability
      • 5+ years of experience working or coordinating with USA teams
      • Experience writing tests in Espresso or XCUITests
      • Experience writing end-to-end tests using Cypress
      • Good understanding of XML and JSON structures
      • Experience working in consulting and fostering strong client relationships
      • Experience maintaining and adjusting CI/CD testing pipelines
      • Intermediate level SQL expertise
      • Intermediate knowledge of JMeter, LoadRunner, SoapUI, or similar performance monitoring tools
      • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field
