      The (Senior) Retail Marketing Manager Northern Europe will be responsible for the strategic direction, development and execution of consumer and shopper activations through short- and long-term creative retail marketing programs in close cooperation with key licensees and other third parties in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Benelux and Nordics. The position focuses on maintaining ongoing relationships with key retailers, including buyers and marketing departments, to increase placement for Universal license products, maximize sell-through and deliver significant retail marketing, media value and promotional activity. The role will report to the Retail Director, Consumer Products, Northern Europe, in our Munich or our Amsterdam office. We are looking forward to receiving full- and part-time applications.

      KEY RESPONSIBLITIES

      • Develop retail marketing programs strategy for designated territories and selected retail accounts that achieves/supports organizational objectives including market share, volume, revenue, placement and brand awareness
      • Oversee and monitor retail financials in market including market share by retailer, overall retail sales by property and annual growth plans
      • Create impactful sales proposals and marketing programs across single and/or multiple product categories (toys, apparel, other) and marketing vehicles (in-store, online, social, media, print, events)
      • Maintain ongoing buyer and marketing relationships and communication with key retailers in each territory
      • Responsible for organizing portfolio presentations with retailers and collaborating with licensees and other Universal business units
      • Responsible for retail marketing budgets of the accounts and ensuring revenue goals are met
      • Be knowledgeable and up to date on current retail and marketing activities and trends in the region

      SKILLS / QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

      • Trade Marketing and/or retail background essential and within a licensing and/or fashion environment preferred
      • Knowledge of the marketing mix including trade marketing & sales promotions, social media and digital marketing;
      • e-commerce know-how is desirable
      • Strong command of German and English; additional language skills (i.e. French or Dutch) are considered a bonus
      • Excellent presentation skills
      • Excellent skills in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint
