      What you’ll learn & achieve:

      UL Solutions is building a new software engineering team in Mexico City, to support the development of our portfolio of SaaS (Software as a Service) applications. We are seeking a talented senior software engineer to join our team and work on our constantly evolving portfolio of SaaS applications.

      This is a fantastic opportunity for a flexible, experienced senior software engineer, interested in coding in modern technology stacks and learning something new every day.

      You will be involved in every part of the software product development process and will contribute as part of the team, helping to deliver great products.

      Responsibilities:

      • Work as part of an Agile Scrum team to deliver high quality, production-ready software.
      • Code development, code testing, code reviews, research, tool / technology evaluations, documenting patterns and standards
      • Work with high level direction to formulate a plan and execute tasks
      • Work with architects on technical, enterprise initiatives and deliver clear, documented, and well-formed opinions, research, and solutions.
      • Act as Scrum Master - help clear roadblocks, coach, run ceremonies, gather metrics, etc.

      What makes you a great fit:

      Required experience / skills

      • 5+ years of experience in Object Oriented Software Development for Enterprise level applications
      • .Net, C# (Microsoft technologies)
      • Agile software development practices
      • Strong logical and problem-solving skills.
      • Strong collaboration, communication, and teamwork skills.
      • English proficiency: Ability to carry out verbal and written business communication; take part and contribute to group meetings / design reviews etc.
      • Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM subject area

      Preferred

      • Front-end experience with Javascript, React, CSS, NodeJS etc.
      • RESTful web services and multi-tier system development
      • Continuous integration, continuous deployment, and automation frameworks
      • Unit testing and integration testing
      • Ability to adapt and learn new technologies.
