We are a leading provider of conversational AI technologies and we are looking for a talented individual to develop and maintain our web applications. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will work closely with a team of developers to create high-quality code that transforms app designs into responsive, cross-browser compatible websites. With your expertise in web development best practices and modern technologies such as React, Angular, and Vue, you will have the opportunity to help shape the future of conversational AI and play an instrumental role in our success.

      But that's not all! As a Cerence team member you'll also:

      • Develop web applications using the latest web development practices and technologies

      • Bring app designs to life with expert proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

      • Collaborate with back-end developers to seamlessly integrate UI components with APIs and databases

      • Analyze and refine technical requirements or UX designs to deliver top-notch user experiences

      • Pinpoint and resolve issues, as well as optimize website performance for peak efficiency

      • Produce scalable, reusable, and high-quality code that adheres to best practices

      • Stay up-to-date with emerging web technologies and industry trends

      Who you are:

      • Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science or related field.

      • Minimum of 5 years of experience in modern, responsive, and cross-browser-compatible web development with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

      • Proficiency in JavaScript frameworks like React, Angular, and Vue.

      • Familiarity with JavaScript libraries like jQuery and Bootstrap.

      • Expertise in HTML5, including semantic HTML5 elements, microformats, and WAI-ARIA.

      • Knowledge of CSS preprocessors such as Sass, Less, or Stylus.

      • Experience in cross-browser compatibility testing.

      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

      • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues.

      • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver sound technical solutions to our customers.

      • Drive product and process improvements throughout the software organization.

      • Self-driven, results-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team

      • Bonus points for experience with vehicle inter-link or IoT cloud systems

      • An understanding of information and application cybersecurity standards (secure coding, securing SDLC’s , etc.)
