What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Support the preparation, review, and filing of various tax forms, including Form 990 and Form 1120
- Assist with foreign national tax reporting and related filings
- Provide support for various tax matters at both the system-wide and affiliate levels
- Stay updated on relevant tax legislation, conducting research and communicating findings
- Manage multiple competing priorities and deadlines effectively
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a Business-related field
- 3-5 years of related work experience in public accounting with a focus on non-profit tax or internal tax experience in the non-profit sector
- Knowledge of non-profit tax law and regulations, particularly related to tax-exempt hospitals
- Proficiency in computer systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- CPA, MST, and/or JD certification is a plus
- Experience with non-profit healthcare tax issues is preferred
