Job Description

- Act as Single point of Contact for project developers to align and coordinate engineering support from various disciplines like electrical, civil, wind resource assessment, wind measurements and acoustics. This part will take approx. 30% of the role. Remaining 70% are dedicated following tasks:
- Design effective and efficient measurement campaigns to support project development and energy analysis.
- Manage, quality control and clean measurement data (met masts and remote sensing devices).
- Support field work on greenfield activities and measurement campaigns.
- Perform analysis on large data sets including but not limited to re-creation of data gaps, selective averaging, long-term adjustment, shear, turbulence, and air density.
- Apply a suite of wind flow and wake models to specific projects within the RWE Renewables development pipeline.
- Prepare site conditions as input into turbine supplier site suitability analysis.
- Navigate project constraints to optimize proposed wind farm production or cost of energy production.
- Report analysis methods and results in a concise customer friendly matter.
- At least 5 years’ of relevant experience in performing a range of wind yield assessment activities, demonstrating technical knowledge with a variety of industry standard software (OpenWind, WindPro or similar).
- Successfully completed university degree in atmospheric science, meteorology, engineering, physics, math, or similar preferred (STEM).
- Good math and computer skills as well as very good communication skills on technical issues.
- English (business fluent), other languages are beneficial, but not a must-have
- Self-motivated with ability to maintain high performance.
- Capable of working effectively in high pressure situations.
- Good understanding of project business, solution orientated mindset and project management understanding.
- Willingness and ability to travel to Northern European Countries such as UK, RoI, Sweden, Germany, Poland. Travel is not anticipated to be more than 5-10% of the working time in total.

About the Department
The Senior Wind Resource Analyst will be part of RWE Renewables’ Project Engineering Department for Europe North with a focus on project development in UK and RoI, occasionally also supporting wind projects in the Sweden, NL, Norway and Poland.
About The Role
In this role you will be supporting onshore wind projects (partially with co-located PV or battery storage) and you will coordinate deliverables of various, different engineering disciplines. You will work within a multi-disciplinary team of civil, electrical, turbine suitability engineers, embedded in a matrix organization cross countries and cross functions such as project Development, Construction, Operations in a dynamic environment and in a company with an ambitious growth strategy.
