- Data Analysis Insights - Build reports and dashboards that provide answers to business questions, insights into team performance and forecasts
- Process Improvement - Utilize SQL, VBA & Tableau to develop tools to solve issues including, but not limited to, efficiency bottlenecks, data storage and error rates
- Communication & Training - Provide clear and consistent status updates to project stakeholders during development cycles and orchestrate training & user acceptance testing when rolling out tools, reports or dashboards.
- Teamwork - Partner with teammates to determine team priorities, achieve consistency across tools & reports, minimize redundant code and troublshoot eachothers designs/code
- Quality Assurance and Documentation - Perform quality assurance checks on tools/reports and provide detailed documentation including but not limited to code comments, flowcharts and narratives
- 3+ Advanced experience coding in VBA
- 3+ years experience querying and managing SQL databases
- 3+ years experience in data analysis, transformation and visualization
- 1+ years experience building views and dashboards in Tableau
- MCSA: SQL Database Development - Preferred
- Experience with all aspects of Student Finance including Financial Aid, Collections & Federal Regulations - Preferred
- Bachelor degree - Preferred
- Exceptional analytical and communications skills, strong customer service orientation, and the ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment
- Strong Excel skills are required
- Knowledge of SQL required
The Shared Services Analyst helps to drive process efficiency & performance across the varied teams within the Student Finance & Lending departments, as well as provides data analysis and insight to the department heads and business leads.
