- BS in Mechanical Engineering + 2-4 year experience
- MS in Relevant Area +0-2 year experience
- Experience using finite element analysis (FEA) software (ANSYS preferred).
- Experience using multi-body dynamic simulation software a plus.
- Knowledgeable in applied stress mechanics, including application of basic fundamentals such as Mohr’s circle and Hooke’s law to practical scenarios.
- Fundamental knowledge in basic mechanical properties of materials.
- Background in material science a plus.
- Familiarity with basic fatigue theory such as strain-life and stress-life fatigue theories.
- Basic scripting/coding abilities in matlab, python, or visual basic.

What’s In It For You:
Shift: Hybrid schedule, 3 days in office, 2 days working from home after initial training period.
Primary Function:
As a member of the Applied Mechanics and Materials group, the candidate’s primary responsibility would be providing Finite Element and Multi-Body Dynamic simulation to support product development and concept evaluation to the functional design teams. Additional responsibilities will include working collaboratively with applied mechanics engineers in the lab to evaluate instrumentation plans, and consult on resolutions to address durability concerns identified in strain gauge testing.

We are seeking a candidate who is interested in joining a cross-functional team spanning simulation and testing to evaluate structural performance of complex structures to aid design teams in product development and mitigate field issues that may arise. The ideal candidate is someone who is interested in pursuing a technically focused career path in analysis of structures.

Work Environment
Standard office environment with normal amounts of office related conditions. Occasionally may be required to work in environmental conditions that emulate typical user environments in order to facilitate design testing and validation.
