      The Role

      As a Simulator Technician I, you will help ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of CAE’s advanced flight training devices. This entry‑level role provides structured technical training, hands‑on simulator experience, and a pathway to a specialised career in simulation technology.

      You’ll work in simulator bays supporting maintenance, troubleshooting, and operational readiness alongside a dedicated Technical Services team.

      Key Responsibilities

      Technical & Maintenance Support

      • Perform routine technical tasks on site.

      • Learn and perform preventive maintenance activities on simulators and associated systems.

      • Assist in diagnosing and resolving simulator issues.

      • Record and track maintenance activities using maintenance management systems.

      Operational Tasks

      • Conduct pre‑flight and post‑flight checks on designated simulators.

      • Perform basic visual alignments.

      • Run automated Qualification Test Guide (QTG) tests.

      • Support refurbishment work and hardware upgrades.

      Training & Compliance

      • Complete all required training and certification modules.

      • Learn and comply with CAE’s Quality Management System and safety standards.

      • Assist with compliance documentation and audit readiness.

      Customer & Operational Support

      • Provide timely customer service and support during training operations.

      • Maintain simulator cleanliness and operational readiness.

      • Perform logistics duties such as receiving parts, testing components, repairs, and validation.

      • Support the Technical Services team with administrative and assigned tasks.

      Minimum Qualifications

      • 2‑year technical degree in electronics, avionics, or technical field.

      • 0–2 years of relevant technical experience.

      • Ability to work rotating or flexible shifts.

      • Ability to read system prints and schematics.

      • Proficiency in using test equipment (oscilloscope, multimeter, signal generator, logic analyzer, etc.).

      Understanding of analog and digital electronics.

      • Computer literacy in PC and/or mainframe environments.

      • Soldering and basic circuit board repair skills.

      • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

      • Fluency in English.
