- Clinical assessments for young people up to the age of 18 years, presenting with mild to moderate mental health problems
- Short-term, evidence-based therapeutic interventions (individual, group, family, as appropriate) Consultations - offering advice, information and support to young people, families and professionals
- Joint working with partner agencies, including Mental Health Support Teams, Early Help, Youth Offending Teams, other Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services
- Use of routine outcome measures to promote active participation from young people and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions.

- Doctoral in Clinical/Counselling/Educational Psychologist or Systemic Family Psychotherapist or Core Qualification AND CBT Supervision qualification

- Appropriate qualification as either a Clinical/Counselling/Educational Psychologist (Doctoral) level training and relevant UK Professional Registration (HCPC/BPS).
- Or as a Systemic Family Psychotherapist (MA/MSc qualification with full registration as a Systemic Psychotherapist with UKCP)
- Or appropriate qualification to be an existing CAMHS clinician at Band 7 for example, Clinical Nurse Specialist, Registered Nurse, CBT Therapist, Occupational Therapist or Social Worker
- CBT Supervision qualification, or willingness to undertake supervision training
- Postgraduate qualification in a relevant field of mental health and able to demonstrate significant practice.
- CYP IAPT Training e.g. CBT, low intensity EMHP or CWP trainingSystemic Family Therapy, Attachment based training Interpersonal Therapy [IPT].
- Evidence of continuing professional development as recommended by the relevant professional body.
- Knowledge and understanding of child and adolescent mental health difficulties, their assessment, and current evidence-based intervention strategies.
- An ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing to convey highly complex and clinically sensitive information to family members of all ages, pupil/students and to a wide range of professional people.
- An awareness of current issues in service delivery within community CAMHS and other settings and an ability to contribute to service development
- Ability to work autonomously, managing and planning own workload.
- High level skills in working with professional networks and the ability to advocate for and advance the mental health needs of parents and their children.
- Ability to form excellent working relationships with colleagues and work flexibly with others in multidisciplinary and multi-agency settings
- Skills in providing consultation and support regarding mental health issues to other professionals
- Ability to identify and employ mechanisms of clinical governance as appropriate, to support and maintain clinical practice.

Job summary
Are you a Senior CBT therapist / Senior Psychological Therapist looking for a new, varied role? Are you someone who enjoys networking and building effective relationships within the community?
Here at the Getting Help Team in Slough we are looking for a senior CBT therapist / Senior psychological therapist to join our team on either a full or part time basis.
The aim of this role is to provide assessments and short-term, evidence-based therapeutic interventions to young people with mild to moderate mental health needs. Within this role you will promote the emotional wellbeing and mental health of young people in the community as well as offering advice, information and support to young people and families. Additionally, you will provide outreach support to promote engagement and deliver consultation and training to professionals as needed.This role offers a blended approach to working in which you will manage your own diary between a combination of community, team working and the ability to work from home.As a service we offer continuous clinical supervision, support applications for accreditations and study days, offer safeguarding supervision and encourage both internal and external self development.The Getting Help Team sits alongside the Mental Health Support Teams in Slough. Operational management and clinical supervision will be provided within Berkshire Healthcare CAMHS.
