- Complete software testing and activities for development user stories within an Agile SDLC process
- Review System Specifications/Requirements documents, user stories and create verification test cases (based on those requirements) and execute test cases.
- Investigate and report unexpected events, issues or software bugs. Verify fixes
- Perform exploratory testing, system level end to end testing, develop test datasets, create and execute automation scripts (to ensure application software releases are of high quality)
- Create verification and validation test plans, test reports, trace matrices and review with relevant stakeholders (dev and quality)
- Bachelor's degree OR an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Minimum 2 years work experience
- Moderate knowledge of Agile methodologies
- Moderate level of understanding of test-driven methodologies
- Demonstrated success in technical proficiency, creativity, and independent thought
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical & problem-solving skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related engineering field
- Moderate level of knowledge with continuous integration & continuous development (CI/CD)
- Experience with Microsoft Azure Devops
- Experience with Selenium and JMeter
- Ability to leverage and/or engage others to accomplish projects.
- Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.
- Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.

The Opportunity
We are seeking a Software Test Engineer II to join our Clinical Solutions team on-site in Sylmar, CA for Abbott Medical Devices. This new team member will represent test engineering throughout the Software Development Lifecycle as well as heavily interacts with the development and quality teams to ensure the right tests are being written and executed. Additionally, will perform all the SQA functions (test case creation and execution, exploratory testing, test plan and test report creation).

The base pay for this position is
$65,900.00 – $131,900.00In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
