      Delta’s Global Pricing Distribution (GPD) Automation team is responsible for supporting existing tools, and to the development products and data applications, used to drive efficiency and automation across the Commercial divisions.

      The Global Pricing Distribution team is seeking a Specialist with coding and project experience that can transform business requirements into scalable MVP product solutions. The ideal candidate will be a part of a team that supports existing tools and develops new tools and processes that will assist the GPD teams with their day-to-day processes. The goal is to improve and automate manual processes while increasing speed to market and accuracy.

      The candidate will work across divisions to develop products and data applications which ensure products and fare rule processing is in accordance with Delta and JV partner's intent. The Specialist will participate in end-to-end technical design, development, and implementation of new technology to support automation initiatives using Agile software development methodologies. The candidate must have the ability to make timely decisions using data driven approaches and include all stakeholders in the decision process. Much of the work is highly ambitious, requiring strong analytical and software engineering skills.


      Responsibilities:

      • Full-stack development including design, development, and user experience for products in an Agile and team-oriented environment.
      • Convert customer and business needs into a compelling product vision.
      • Ad-hoc projects requested by partners from multiple teams with varying timelines.
      • Work across divisions to optimize/re-engineer existing processes.
      • Identify gaps in application functionality and provide robust technical solutions.
      • Create database and GUIs to improve business processes.

      Salary range between $80,000 and $100,000 .

      What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

      • Must be thorough, have proven analytical and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work well with others in a time sensitive team environment.

      • Python software development.
      • 2 plus years Web architecture and design applying HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Django, Angular or similar technologies.
      • Quickly respond to changing business needs in a safe, yet efficient manner.
      • Identify key business needs, technological limitations, and proactively find creative solutions for complex problems.
      • Must be performing satisfactorily in current position.
      • Demonstrates that privacy is a priority when handling personal data.
      • Accepts a diverse set of people, thinking and styles.
      • Consistently makes safety and security, of self and others, the priority.
      • High School diploma or GED equivalent

      What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)

      • Experience using and creating APIs and microservices.
      • Experience working with Agile software development tools (Jira, Rally, Azure Devops, etc).
      • Experience with databases and SQL.
      • Amazon Web Services (AWS) full cloud experience including Lamdba, S3, Aurora and pipelines.
      • Knowledge of airline fare filing.
      • Project Management/Agile certifications
