      Job Description

      insightsoftware is looking for an experienced Senior Analyst, Legal Operations, to support operational excellence across all corporate legal functions including commercial contracting and governance, risk, and compliance (GRCD) for this fast-growing financial technology company based in Raleigh, North Carolina. You'll contribute to strategic initiatives while supporting efficient legal processes, legal operations, and legal technology optimization.

      What Will You Do?

      Commercial Legal Support
      • Partner with the Commercial Legal team to streamline contract workflows, reduce cycle times, and improve deal velocity
      • Serve as the primary operational liaison for commercial attorneys, identifying bottlenecks and implementing process improvements
      • Develop and maintain playbooks, clause libraries, and self-service resources to enable efficient contract negotiation
      • Support contract intake processes and case routing to ensure timely assignment and resolution of commercial legal requests
      • Analyze commercial contracting metrics to identify trends, training needs, and opportunities for standardization


      Legal Technology & Systems
      • Assess and support the evaluation of legal technology solutions (e.g., CLM, matter management, knowledge management, eBilling, compliance systems) including LinkSquares and StreamlineAI to streamline operations and implement best-in-class processes
      • Lead change management initiatives across the legal department, including training, communications, and stakeholder engagement to ensure successful adoption of new systems and processes
      • Build client self-help tools, such as dashboards, toolkits, legal training, Q&A resources, and process flows to improve operational efficiencies
      • Create and maintain user documentation, training materials, and standard operating procedures for legal technology platforms
      • Champion user adoption and serve as a resource for legal team members on system functionality and best practices
      • Coordinate with Systems support on automation opportunities for routine legal transactions and processes


      Data Analytics & Reporting
      • Extract, compile, and analyze data from legal systems to support decision-making and identify operational trends
      • Create reports and dashboards to track legal department metrics including contract cycle times, matter volumes, legal spend, and SLA performance
      • Support the Director of Legal Operations with data analysis for presentations to senior leadership
      • Conduct benchmarking analysis and research on legal operations best practices


      Knowledge Management
      • Contribute to knowledge management initiatives and best practice documentation across legal functions
      • Maintain and organize legal department resources, templates, and reference materials


      Cross-Functional Collaboration & Support
      • Serve as liaison between legal team and business partners including Sales, Procurement, Finance, Treasury, Tax, IT, HR, and Compliance
      • Support M&A integration activities including contract migration, system consolidation, and process harmonization
      • Coordinate cross-functional initiatives related to legal processes and compliance
      • Support ad-hoc projects and analysis to improve legal operations efficiency across all functions

      Qualifications
      Required Experience & Education
      • Bachelor's degree in Business, Legal Studies, Operations Management, or related field
      • 5+ years of experience in legal operations, compliance operations, contract management, or related field supporting commercial legal functions
      • Demonstrated experience supporting corporate legal functions, including commercial contracting and/or governance, risk, and compliance (GRCD)
      • Experience with cross-functional project coordination and process improvement initiatives
      • Experience supporting CLM platforms (e.g., LinkSquares, Ironclad, Agiloft) and legal intake/workflow tools
      • Experience with legal e-billing systems and outside counsel management
      Communication & Management Skills
      • Strong business acumen with strategic thinking capabilities
      • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with ability to collaborate effectively with attorneys and business stakeholders
      • Demonstrated project management experience with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
      Technical & Analytical Expertise
      • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, data visualization tools, and reporting
      • Intermediate Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) with ability to create executive-level presentations and analysis
      • Quick adaptability to new systems and technologies
      Industry & Functional Experience (Preferred)
      • Experience with LinkSquares and/or StreamlineAI platforms
      • Experience in a high-growth software or technology company, preferably in fintech or SaaS environments
      • Background in M&A legal operations and integration activities across multiple transactions
      • Experience with enterprise compliance, risk management, and governance frameworks
      • Experience with agentic AI and/or generative AI tools in a legal or business operations context
      • Experience with AI-powered legal technology tools (contract AI, legal research, automation)
      • Proficiency with Power BI, Tableau, or similar business intelligence tools
      • Experience with Salesforce, SharePoint, or workflow automation tools (Power Automate, Zapier)


      The salary range in United States of America for this position is 88,000.00 to 111,000.00 USD Annual.

      Your specific offer within this range will be determined by your skills, experience, and qualifications. For non-sales roles, you may be eligible for a bonus. For sales roles, this range includes a commission target.
