- IEEE Conference Registration & Sales Data Governance (40%)
- Identify opportunities for targeted growth within IEEE's existing event portfolio
- Drive new revenue by guiding MCE Management and other stakeholders with various analysis and reporting
- Synthesize analytical information to provide impactful business recommendations through analysis for OU leadership
- Develop reports and analysis that drive enable informed decision making both horizontally and vertically across the conference business
- Liaise with existing outsourced service providers supporting data collection; identify new opportunities to enhance data collection efforts through strategic partnerships.
- Ensure governance policies and set quality standards are maintained.
- Create and manage processes to collect, store and analyze business records
- Create, implement, and manage process to review and/or approve proposed event registration rates
- Business Process Consulting & Automation (40%)
- Work with internal partners to learn and document existing processes. Research and provide solutions to streamline approach and improve efficiency.
- Acts as the subject matter expert (SME) for automation efforts within the department.
- Keeps abreast of trends and developments in robotic process automation, including but not limited to, natural language processing, AI, optical character recognition and others.
- Understands and applies best practices is database creation and management; identifies creates, and administers governance around new data acquisition, cleansing and usage.
- Ad Hoc Reporting and Special Requests (20%)
- Prepares periodic management reporting and analysis on overall IEEE conference line of operations
- Works on ad-hoc financial reporting, projects, and analysis as requested by IEEE Staff/Volunteer leadership or MCE management
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Finance, Computer Science or other related field Req
- 4-7 years Req
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Tools.
- Working Experience with business intelligence tools & interfaces such as Microsoft Power BI or Tableau .
- Experience with workflow automation (at a citizen developer level)
- Experience with advanced statistical tools and working knowledge of Python and SQL query language.
- Analytical minded with the ability to quickly and efficiently comprehend and manipulate large amounts of information and data.
- Proven problem solving, communication, organization and time-management skills required.
- Excellent written, visual and verbal communication skills, particularly in presenting results of quantitative analysis.
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities and remain deadline focused.
- Must have strong collaboration skills as this position requires frequent interaction with cross-functional, solution-oriented teams.

The overall purpose of this position is to facilitate the business processes associated with running and/or managing IEEE's Global Meetings, Conferences & Events business. The incumbent in this position will support the gathering, analysis and reporting of information associated the organization's conference business to affect better decision making by staff and volunteer leaders. They will also assist with identifying areas of business process improvement and recommend process adjustments, technical solutions, or both to efficiently carry out operational objectives. Finally, the incumbent will support the creation and iteration of long-term goals, objectives, and strategies for IEEE's Conference Business. The role typically reports to the Manager of Business Reporting and Analysis. This position must be able to work independently in a deadline-oriented environment and is able to recommend changes in departmental and IEEE procedures/processes for management review and approval.
