What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Perform underwriting tasks by preparing complex business and personal financial spreads
- Conduct risk analysis by preparing complex risk grading documents and reviewing third-party reports
- Prepare complex loan request presentations and assess borrower risk profiles
- Maintain financial statement tickler and covenant tickler systems for accurate reporting
- Assist with the training and development of junior analysts and participate in special projects
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in commercial credit analysis and underwriting
- Proficient in credit administration, policy, and procedures
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in underwriting large, complex commercial real estate loans is preferred
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- 7+ years of experience in underwriting commercial and industrial loans, acquisition, development & construction loans, and asset-based lending
- Experience in various industries, including financial technology and renewable energies
- Proficient in risk analysis and mitigation techniques
- Strong technical report writing skills
