- Meticulously process and pay invoices on time, manage vendor relationships, and maintain accurate records to ensure healthy cash flow and prevent fraud.
- Generate and collect customer invoices, manage credit, and resolve payment disputes to optimize incoming cash and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Collaborate with internal and external customers to ensure smooth financial operations, optimize cash flow, manage risks, and contribute to the overall success of the business.
- Perform a range of critical operational tasks within the financial department, primarily focused on the accurate processing and recording of transactions.
- Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Experience in the Manufacturing Industry (2+ years)
- Experience with Month End Close (Journal Entries, Reconciliations for Cash Flow, AP/AR) (3+ years)
- Proficiency in Epicor and BNA
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience with Inventory and Fixed Assets management
As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for managing both sides of a public company's financial transactions, including Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable. You will process invoices, verify payments, reconcile accounts, and maintain accurate financial records for both incoming and outgoing funds. Additionally, you will handle month-end bank reconciliation, prepare monthly journal entries, and assist in the month-end financial close process in a SOX compliant environment.

Work Environment
The team currently consists of one person, with plans to expand. This position involves assisting with the financial close process. The company comprises 97 employees, with 15 salaried roles and the remainder in operations. The work hours are from 7-8am to 4:30pm-5pm, totaling 40 hours per week.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Milford, CT.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.
