What do you get to do in this position? Primary responsibilities related to engineering changes implementation, new product development or product transfers projects. Develops parametric models and drawings of electro-mechanical equipment, according to design intent and Schneider Electric best practices. Identifies and manages technical risks (i.e. DFMEA, Part Criticality, FTA). Performs tolerance analysis and functional prototypes to insure the adequate performance, assembly and quality of the product. Lead and develop the definition of verification and validation process according to the country regulatory and standards. Prepares complex and/or new solutions based in project scope and strategy. Close collaboration with Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing and Marketing to complete projects on time, budget, quality and safety. Manages and controls product files and documentation. Leadership Requirements Basic understanding and use of project management/agile methodology. Defines implementation/change strategies with project team. Creates action plans and follows up to ensure completion. Writes reports to cohesive manner with a logical flow of ideas. Communicates appropriately with audience and avoids technical jargon. Takes risks and challenges others only if guided by mentor or supervisor. Makes basic proposals with some degree of self confidence. Technical Requirements B.S. in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronic Engineering. Masters in Science is a plus. Must have at least 8 years of experience in design and development of electromechanical products. Knowledge of Thermal & Electrical Management on Electrical Products. Knowledge of Mechanical functions on Electrical Products. Knows the typical customer application and the products involved. Material selection for electrical and mechanical applications, material comparisions. Understands the geographical context and constraints for the product catalogue. Understanding of various international product standards as UL, CA, CSA, NOM, ANSI, NEC,IEC specifics on Electrical products.
