What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Supervise coders, assist with training new staff, and manage workload goals and performance standards
- Collaborate with the coding manager on scheduling, payroll, and physician education
- Participate in production coding as needed to support the team
- Build relationships and facilitate communication with key stakeholders and support departments
- Identify workflow barriers and implement process improvements for problem resolution
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Associate's Degree in a Health Information related field or 4 years of experience in lieu of an Associate’s degree
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a production coder, including ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and CPT/HCPCS coding
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- At least 1 year in a leadership role overseeing staff and processes
- Professional Coding Certification
