What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Supervise and assist with training new coders and manage team performance
- Support the Coding Manager with scheduling, payroll, and physician education
- Perform production coding as needed to maintain workflow
- Build strong relationships and facilitate communication among key stakeholders
- Organize and monitor special projects to ensure timely and accurate completion
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Associate's Degree in a Health Information related field or 4 years of experience in lieu of an Associate’s degree
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a production coder, including ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and CPT/HCPCS coding
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- At least 1 year in a leadership role overseeing staff and processes
- Professional Coding Certification
