      This position is with the Better Opportunities for Single Soldiers Program located at Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (FMWR) at Fort Drum, New York. FMWR includes Child and Youth Services, Business Recreation, and Support Services, which enable Soldier readiness, support the resilience and well-being of Soldiers and Families.

      Duties


      • Plans work schedules, approves or disapproves leave, determines performance objectives and rates performance.
      • Works in executing recreation events, programs and services to meet the recreational needs of a diverse patronage, including a variety of multi disciplinary events, i.e., social activities, tournaments and other major programs.
      • Recommends items of supplies, materials, prizes, decorations, refreshments, and equipment needed for program functions.
      • Assists with training new personnel.
      • Assists with other recreation programs in the Recreation Center as needed.

      Requirements


      • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
      • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
      • A one-year probationary period may be required.
      • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
      • A one-year Supervisory probationary period may be required.
      • This position requires a favorably adjudicated T1/NACI background investigation.
      • Management reserves the right to reassign employees to other facilities.
      • Work schedule will be irregular, and the incumbent will be required to work nights, weekends, holidays, and/or unique events.
