  Survey Crew Chief

  Job Description

  The role involves coordinating with project managers, executing field surveys, and ensuring accurate data collection for design and construction projects. Ideal candidates will have a background in technical or civil/construction fields.

  Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with project managers to execute field surveys.
  • Ensure accurate data collection for design and construction projects.
  • Communicate effectively with contractors.
  • Prepare data for construction staking.
  • Interpret civil drawings accurately.
  • Utilize topographic and boundary surveying techniques.
  • Operate GPS and robotic survey equipment.

  Essential Skills

  • 2-3 years of experience with construction staking and land surveying.
  • Experience interpreting civil drawings.
  • Experience communicating with contractors.
  • Experience with topographic and boundary surveying.
  • Familiarity with GPS and robotic survey equipment.

  Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of two years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Knowledge of CAD and Microsoft Office is beneficial.
  • Ability to resolve on-site conflicts.
  • Ability to interpret technical documents.

  Job Type & Location

  This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Coralville, IA.

  Pay and Benefits

  The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
