- Serves as a Regional Practice Leader in the Survey Discipline; Site Facilities Market
- Oversee and continue to grow survey operations in Tampa, Fort Lauderdale, and across the rest of Florida
- Supervise Survey Practice Leaders within Florida
- Responsible for staff development, project execution, and procurement of work.
- Directly reports to Chief of Surveys.
- Assists in sales activities and maintenance of client relationships.
- Prepares technical and fee proposals.
- Participates in the preparation of surveys and contract documents, as required.
- Performs QA/QC reviews for project or task deliverables
- Must be a highly self-motivated dynamic individual.
- Florida PSM required
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering is preferred or Minimum of 15 years of professional experience along with PLS or RPLS license in surveying
- Pre-employment drug screening is a condition of employment. Background and motor vehicle checks may be required based upon position.
- Prepare and deliver timely annual employee performance appraisals for assigned staff
- Train adequate backup personnel to support your role in your absence
- Develop and maintain customer relationships by soliciting monthly performance feedback, identifying client needs, and identifying the next project
- Meet monthly with Discipline Manager, Operations Manager, and Practice Leaders to review financials
- Work with the Market Manager, Discipline Manager, Regional/Practice Leader(s), and the CFO to develop annual budget between September 1 and November 15
- Answer questions at monthly town hall meetings
- Chair at least one technical society committee
- Comply with all KCI policies and procedures
- Hire and manage work routine of all assigned staff and assign job activities as required
- Meet annual Performance Agreements targets
- Meet monthly or more frequently as necessary with the Market Leader and Discipline Manager
- Complete other duties as required/assigned
- Participate and contribute to annual leadership meeting(includes PLEP training)
- Participate in and contribute to three regional office forums per year
- Represent KCI in two technical societies and one community organization
- Review annual Employee Satisfaction Survey and implement required corrective actions
- Review monthly resource allocation plan with practice leaders. Ensure inter-practice resource allocation for efficiency
- Conduct annual market research between June 1 and August 31 with Discipline Manager
- Grow the regional practice by adding new clients or services within the assigned region
- Provide market trends to the Discipline Manager for the strategic planning sessions
- Provide project and client leads to other regional practice leaders to grow their regional practices
- Chart and coordinate practice performance results
- Deliver all projects on time and within budget while fully meeting the scope
- Meet biweekly or more frequently as necessary with project team on all projects/tasks greater than $50K in fees
- Meet monthly with clients to review project progress
- Monitor effective use of equipment and personnel
- Negotiate scope, schedule, and fee estimates for large and significant projects
- Operate within specified (corporate or project) budget parameters
- Prepare monthly progress reports and invoices for projects
- Provide monthly Oracle project updates to the project analyst
- Provide monthly WIP/AR comments to the operations manager
- Provide technical project and staff oversight
- Provide weekly new project budget data to Operations Manager for entry into Oracle
- Serve as project manager on large or significant projects
- Develop project specific safety plans.Ensure compliance with all Federal, state, and local safety rules and regulations
