      Position Responsibilities:

      • Install, configure, and support the existing VMWare ESXi and Windows environment including terminal servers, cluster, databases, web front end servers, file and print servers, archiving technologies.
      • Configure and support Fortinet and Juniper network equipment.
      • Responsible for the implementation, operation, and management of a comprehensive cybersecurity environment that includes server/network center physical security and electronic data protection capabilities.
      • System performance tuning and troubleshooting based on collected statistics.
      • Lead planning and development of multi-year server strategy for Totes Isotoner servers.
      • Define policies and procedures in the networking areas of Disaster Recovery, Enterprise Backups, Systems Management, Monitoring and Systems Administration/Security, Build Standards and Server Build Automation. Lead the execution of disaster recovery preparation procedures, recovery tests and, in the event of a disaster, the execution of the appropriate planned recovery procedures for the affected network and systems.
      • Create and manage proactive and preventative procedures on all Windows servers on a regular basis.
      • Create and maintain system design and operational documentation, run books and disaster recovery documentation.
      • Responsible for the maintenance of an accurate inventory of all Data Center equipment, configurations, processes, and procedures.
      • Lead the investigation for new technologies, tools, and methodologies to improve system stability and reliability, and advance systems administration procedures across all teams.
      • Interact with outside suppliers in the delivery of centralized server-based computing services, manage, and review external suppliers and vendors, review effectiveness and value.
      • Understand data network protocol and packet switching technologies for network support.
      • Understand current industry data cabling technologies, including fiber optic and copper cabling, media termination and cable management techniques.
      • Write scripts to support automation of daily tasks, comprehensive understanding of WMI.
      • Provide 3rd level support for help desk tickets.
      • Strong support for and management of Change Control process in-place, logging server environment change activities, including accountability for following change scheduling, change approval and implementation back out plan.
      • Perform other duties as assigned.

      Qualifications:

      • College degree required or equivalent experience. Computer Science or related bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of experience in system design and operations.
      • 5 or more years of systems administration and support of 50-plus Windows Server environments and 3 or more years of experience designing and administering large scale highly available VMware ESXi multi-node clusters.
      • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of monitoring Active Directory, VMware, patches/updates utilizing HP tools.
      • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of maintaining domain controllers, DHCP, DNS, GPO, sites and services.
      • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of Microsoft BackOffice suite of software (Windows Server) administrating and troubleshooting skills.
      • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of M365 tools family, including mail management, licensing, configuration troubleshooting.
      • Strong technical knowledge of Fortinet switches and firewalls.
      • SharePoint, SimpliVity, SolarWinds patch manager, Zenoss monitoring, Panzura file system, Amazon Web Services (AWS) S3 storage, IBM iSeries hardware technologies knowledge is a plus.
      • Understanding of data network protocol and packet switching technologies for network support.
      • Understanding of current industry data cabling technologies, including fiber optic and copper cabling, media termination and cable management techniques.
      • Ability to participate in some night and weekend work as needed.
      • Hybrid work environment (60% of time in the office on average, about three days per week).

      Physical Requirements:

      • May be required to sit at a workstation for at least 8 hours per day
      • Low physical effort required to sit, stand, bend, stoop, lift, reach, and walk when working in an office environment
      • Fine manipulation when using the computer keyboard
      • Maximum unassisted lift = 35 lbs. Average lift less than 10 lbs.
      • Near and far vision and color discrimination necessary
      • Ability to communicate verbally both in person and on the telephone
      • Ability to travel domestically and internationally to visit customers, offices, and factories
