      Are you a tax accountant focused on tax controversy in the Asset Management industry that is looking to expand your knowledge beyond primarily tax notices?       The expectation is that this will be a hybrid role with a blend of in-office (client and CBIZ office) and remote work days. Flexible work arrangements may be discussed.

      Essential Functions and Primary Duties

      • Build and develop quality relationships with closely-knit CBIZ team and client contacts (daily, regular client interactions).
      • Oversee, train and assist associate team members
      • Meet time restraints and deadlines
      • Assistance in responding to tax notices from all jurisdictions
      • Assistance in responding to fund LP tax-related questions & requests
      • Assistance with tax payment process, including processing & tracking of payments
      • Assistance with managing and tracking partner information
      • Gather data necessary to respond to audits and inquiries by governmental authorities
      • Assist in gathering data and preparing schedules to be used in preparing tax returns
      • Review Federal & State extensions, K-1s, and tax returns, including withholding tax returns, FBARs, etc.
      • Prepare and/or review quarterly and year-end estimates
      • Become proficient at tax research

      Preferred Qualifications

      • Master's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
      • CPA candidates preferred
      • 1+ year supervisory experienced preferred

      Minimum Qualifications Required

      • Bachelor’s degree
      • 3 years of experience in public accounting or related field
      • Ability to manage deadlines, work on multiple assignments and prioritize each assignment as necessary
      • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
      • Proficient use of applicable technology
      • Must be able to travel based on client and business needs

      The annual salary target for this job in this market is $80,000-$100,000. The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on the education, experience, and skill set of the individual selected for this position.
