      Team Lead-Custodial Investment Operations

      WEX provides services to various providers of Health Savings Accounts (HSA). In support of those relationships WEX provides custody services for HSA bank accounts on behalf of our Partner organizations through the WEX Inc. Non-Bank Custodian (NBC). The role is one of the Team Leads of the operations department which facilitates the processing of investment accounts, providing both custody services and reconciliation of balance and activity. The role would work closely with other team leads supporting consumer contributions, distributions, and debit card settlement.

      Responsibilities Include:

      • Active leader, maintaining high level operational responsibilities as well as supervising day-to-day operations of the NBC Operation Analysts in the Provision of Investment service to HSA Consumers

      • HR responsibility for Operational staff attendance, performance,

      • Train and develop staff, including arranging cross-training and

      • Be responsible for oversight of the Consumer Investment agreements and relationship with vendor partners (RIA, Broker/Dealer etc.)

      • Operational Oversight of Custody Investment services

        • Daily Health Check – trading activity, reconciliation, wash accounts, suspense items,

        • Corrective action on re-occurring or repetitive issues including Consumer and TPA communication

        • Escalated Service items

        • Reporting oversight and action planning on KPIs and Service Level Agreements

      • Operational efficiency: find ways to automate certain reporting and reduce the costs of day-to-day administrative duties and functions.

      • Supervise the creation of new procedures and review/revise existing procedures when needed.

      • Participate in Quarterly Services Review Meeting with Partner organizations and escalation of strategic issues as necessary

      • Enhancement of inter-department relationships and support other departments, as needed.

      Required Qualifications:

      • Experience of working within a large organization, preferably within the Financial Services industry (preferably 5 years+ managing staff)

      • Sound understanding of the Investment Services Business. (3 years’ experience preferred)

      • Good knowledge of the components of Custody Operations and Brokerage Market specifics.

      • Experience of working within in a control function or in close partnership with control functions (preferably 3 years as a minimum)

      • Experience of working across multiple business areas and/or functions to deliver results

      • Travel requirements: 0%-15% travel possibly required

      Desired Additional Qualifications:

      • Strong analytical and numeracy skills to review oversight results, assess impact, identify trends to help maintain an efficient and effective oversight model

      • Proven ability to support/review the control framework and display a strong control mind-set in support of Audit requirements

      • Attention to details and proven ability to work accurately and under pressure to meet deadlines

      • Communication and influencing skills to implement change across the end to end process

      The base pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual pay rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as your qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Base pay is one component of WEX's total compensation package. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable plan. Non-sales roles are typically eligible for a quarterly or annual bonus based on their role and applicable plan.       Salary Pay Range: $65,500.00 - $87,000.00
