We are seeking to appoint an inspirational, influential leader to cover maternity leave for a 12 month period. They need to be confident and dynamic with the ability to inspire and support staff. The post holder will have a passion for working within the delivery suite environment and committed to lead the team on Delivery Suite.
The ideal candidate will be visible with excellent communication and organisational skills to provide leadership and coordination of the area.

Main duties of the job
The successful midwife will be responsible for managing a team of Midwives and Maternity Support Workers. This post will be predominantly management with the expectation to work clinically on delivery suite where required. The post holder will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high standards of midwifery and clinical care. They will make decisions based on upon knowledge, compassion, and experience in respect to intrapartum care. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing human resources, patient experience, equipment, and stock within budget limits. By being a role model and demonstrating high levels of competence they will advise and support staff to ensure they are aware of their roles and responsibilities and are committed to achieving the vision and values of the Leeds way.
