TPX Overview What organization will you be a part of? Comcast’s Technology, Product & Experience (TPX) organization works at the intersection of media and technology. Our innovative teams are continually developing and delivering products that transform the customer experience. From creating apps like TVGo to new features such as the Talking Guide on the X1 platform, we work every day to make a positive impact through innovation in the pursuit of building amazing products that are enjoyable, easy to use and accessible across all platforms. The team also develops and supports our evolving network architecture, including next-generation consumer systems and technologies, infrastructure and engineering, network integration and management tools, and technical standards. Intern Job Description The Connect Tools team is responsible for design, engineering, operations and support of applications and tools used by Comcast employees, business partners and contractors. These applications enable users to orchestrate and manage construction of outside plant and associated infrastructure and components. In addition, various applications are used to design, troubleshoot and visualize Comcast’s physical network responsible for delivering all services offered to residential and business customers over HFC networks. Our team is specifically responsible for Product Support, Operations and Quality Assurance of all the applications, we are in the process of building a Engineering Operations function which will work across and in collaboration with Developers, Quality Assurance and Support. Job Responsibilities Intern responsibilities include but are not limited to: Learn and develop a clear understanding of current landscape of development, operations, QA and support functions. Ability to quickly learn new tools and technologies related to / or used as part of agile software development life cycle. Work collaboratively with others including developers, scrum masters, product and program managers. Demonstrate understanding of lessons learned by applying to assigned project or daily activities/responsibilities. Curious about how things work, and the ability to ask clarifying question when guidance is needed. Analyze, research and document results of assigned tasks in a timely manner. Good verbal and written communication, ability to present ideas at various levels of organization. Excellent time management skills and meeting all commitments. Self-motivated, innovative mind-set, bring new ideas or improve existing methods and procedures. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Preferred Skills Preferred Majors: Information Systems - BSIS / Software Engineering - BSSE / Computer Science - BSCS Minimum Qualifications and Eligibility Requirements Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree from a United States-based college or university Rising Junior or Rising Senior with an anticipated graduation date of December 2024, Spring 2025, December 2026 or Spring 2026. Returning to degree-program (for at least a semester) after the completion of the summer internship Authorized to work in the United States with no current or future sponsorship needs Available to work 40 hours per week over the course of the summer program Available to report in-person to the work location on the job posting. Internship roles will be office-based with no virtual offerings. Relevant Work Experience 0-2 Years Salary: Base Pay: $32.00 Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Comcast provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work.
