      Job Title: Technical WriterJob Description

      We are seeking a skilled Technical Writer to join our team, specializing in the creation and management of certification and compliance documentation in support of FAA Part 23 certification activities. This role requires a professional who can effectively collaborate with engineering and test teams to ensure all documentation meets regulatory and quality standards.

      Responsibilities
      • Author, edit, and manage certification reports, compliance reports, and test reports.
      • Work closely with engineering and test teams to capture objective evidence, test results, and rationale for compliance findings.
      • Develop and maintain certification documentation sets, including compliance matrices, verification plans, test procedures, and status trackers.
      • Ensure documents are consistent, clear, formatted correctly, and ready for customer or regulatory review.
      • Coordinate documentation reviews with cross-functional stakeholders, including systems, software, hardware, flight test, safety, and quality teams.
      • Support configuration control through versioning, baselines, document change tracking, and review cycles.
      Essential Skills
      • Demonstrated experience in creating certification and test reports for aerospace programs.
      • Working knowledge of FAA FAR Part 23 airworthiness standards and certification documentation expectations.
      • Strong technical writing ability, capable of turning engineering inputs into clear, structured, audit-ready documentation.
      • Aerospace industry experience in a regulated, compliance-driven environment.
      • Familiarity with STC programs, FAA Accepted Means of Compliance, safety-critical development/certification frameworks, and DO-178.
      Additional Skills & Qualifications
      • At least 3 years of aerospace industry experience in technical writing.
      • At least 3 years of experience creating Certification and Test Reports.
      • Professional experience working with FAR Part 23.
      Work Environment

      This position is fully remote, allowing for flexibility in your work environment while engaging in challenging projects within the aviation, space, and defense industries.

      Job Type & Location

      This is a Contract position based out of Phoenix, AZ.

      Pay and Benefits

      The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
