- Participate on project teams for the conception, planning, & conducting of certification/ qualification testing for new products; testing may be performed internally or externally.
- Coordinate, monitor, & support internal product testing.
- Define, coordinate, monitor, & support product testing at outside testing facilities.
- Present test results & findings in written reports, verbally in group settings, and in formal presentations.
- Develop, implement, & monitor test plans including scope, timelines & priorities, resources, materials, and capital/investment requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all internal testing & 3rd party witness requirements.
- Own and maintain all test and validation documentation, including but not limited to test specification templates, test request documents, work instructions, process specifications, etc.
- Successfully control and complete test projects within stated performance guidelines meeting established goals, schedules, & budgets including supporting and working with other departments.
- Identify potential technical problems and plan & implement solutions.
- Provide positive influence in process and technology changes through research and recommendations on new equipment to purchase or process improvements to improve testing operations.
- Translate general customer requirements into test plans, specific requirements, and program elements.
- Coordinate technical test plan interchange with the customer and ensure company compliance with the customer’s testing requirements.
- Connect with engineering management regarding the status of project activities in a timely manner.
- Ensure company policies, work rules, and practices are followed.
- Participate in and support company safety & 5S initiatives and programs.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an accredited college plus 2-5 years meaningful work experience.
- Basic understanding of hydraulics & electronics preferred.
- Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (FMEA) experience preferred.
- Ability to understand and interpret industry standards for product qualifications.
- Ability to develop, implement, monitor, control, & lead projects.
- Ability to cooperate with, communicate well with, & coordinate projects with vendors, external customers, & internal customers including other departments in an above average capacity in the English language.
- Effective written and oral communication skills relative to technical issues.
- Ability to simplify and solve sophisticated problems along with determining root causes, both alone and within a team environment, sometimes with a high level of creativity.
- Must have a strong level of attention to detail with the ability to observe situations and make the appropriate decisions.
- Ability to achieve planned results by applying organization, prioritization, & communication skills within a team environment; this includes recognizing internal customer expectations and scheduling upcoming tests accordingly.
- Ability to apply knowledge learned about technologies and approaches to improve manufacturing operations.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and demanding environment with a strong sense of urgency.
- Ability to understand operation of mechanical equipment.
- Basic level knowledge of MS Office programs required; intermediate level preferred.
- Basic level of computer aided design required.
- Ability to learn sophisticated equipment software.
- Ability to use various hand-held tools.
- Ability to sit, stand and walk for up to 8 hours or more per day.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 10lbs. on a regular basis, and up to 40 lbs. occasionally.
- Ability to work with both hands and both feet on a regular basis.
- Willingness to obtain additional training in support of this role.
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time within the US and internationally.
- Have the flexibility to adjust work hours to meet project requirements as necessary.

Works with test technicians to verify and ensure testing of manufactured parts/ products are conducted per established instructions & process specifications. Implements improvements and assists with troubleshooting of test and measurement equipment. Provide support and expertise to improve test and validation processes and equipment. Has basic understanding and knowledge of the test and validation equipment and process for Hexagon Agility products. Works under the mentorship of the test and validation manager.
