      Qualifications:

      • Education Required : Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field.
      • Education Preferred: Licensed or license-eligible.
      • Experience Required : Any relevant experience; open.
      • Experience Preferred: Therapeutic experience with survivors and/or grief, loss, and trauma.
      • Valid driver’s license in good standing and vehicle with appropriate auto insurance required. Must be able to pass the motor vehicle record background check.

      Position Specifics

      • Typically reflects a 32-hour work week.
      • Position Hours: 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with occasional evening hours to meet client needs and support special events.
      • Full-time position.
      • Nonexempt, hourly role at $30.96 per hour (estimated annual salary of $51,514.96).
      • Comprehensive benefits are offered.
      • Service Area: Scott, Clinton, Muscatine, Jackson, and Cedar Counties in Iowa.
      • Position Primary Location: Scott County.
      • This position participates in the 24-hour crisis on-call rotation.

      Position Details

      The Therapist - Iowa Grief, Loss, and Trauma will provide trauma-informed, survivor-centered therapeutic individual, group, and family therapy to meet the therapeutic needs of survivors of homicide and other violent crimes and individuals experiencing crisis in the communities served. This position will participate in the 24-hour crisis on-call rotation (covering Scott, Clinton, Muscatine, Jackson and Cedar Counties in Iowa). This position requires reliable transportation and proof of auto insurance. These responsibilities are carried out under the direction of the Supervisor – Other Violence Crimes. This position requires a flexible schedule that may include working nights, weekends, and holidays.
