      Compensation Band: $100,000 - $125,000

      The Trade and Sales Planning Manager is responsible for the development and execution of trade marketing, customer-based initiatives and internal retail analytics supporting the strategies & needs set by the VP of Sales. Ideal candidates will have strong trade marketing, sales planning, category management and brand management experience, with the ability to successfully collaborate with cross-functional teams, to achieve the company’s business and growth goals.

      Responsibilities

      Trade Planning

      • Supports team in deductions management process by maintaining internal trade spend tool & validating promotional chargebacks
      • Analyzes promo & marketing activities and generates recommendations to optimize future plans/investment (ROI)
      • Establish optimal promotional windows by analyzing channel, retailer, and competitive activity. Monitor execution and highlight inconsistencies.
      • Tracks spending against total year budget & provides updates to broader sales and finance teams, with consideration to latest forecast outlook
      • Serves as external-facing expert on promotional programs & trade support
        • Joins buyer calls with VP of Sales and/or broker partners to understand key trade requirements for forward planning
        • In coordination with broader sales team, creates & submits promotional plans across all retailers
        • Assists with shopper marketing plans at retail - including demos, merchandising, paid search, etc.

      Sales Planning

      • Create & maintain sales reporting, including retail scan velocity data & creating scorecards for benchmarking against category and historical performance
      • Collaborate with broader sales team to develop new item presentations, category reviews & key retail materials to meet distribution goals
      • Delivers actionable insights & recommendations to cross-functional retail team based on latest trend spotting

      Required Qualifications

      • 3-5 years of CPG Brand Management and Shopper/Trade Marketing experience
      • Experience with project management across multiple initiatives and retailers at the same time
      • Strong understanding of consumer packaged goods industry, retail channels, and account specific marketing
      • Strong experience with syndicated data analysis
      • Understanding of Path to Purchase tactics and various marketing vehicles ranging from digital, coupons, print, sponsorships, media and more
      • Detailed thinker and ability to influence internally and externally to execute compelling retail marketing programs and engagements
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

      Preferred Requirements

      • 5+ years of CPG Brand Management and Shopper/Trade Marketing experience
      • Experience in the conventional retail space
      • Budget management experience
      • Broker engagement/management experience
      • Innate understanding of Momofuku internal processes and cross functional systems usage
