      Uniper seeks a Trade Surveillance Specialist to join its North American team

      What we are looking for

      Monitor commercial activities of Uniper to detect and report potential market manipulation and insider trading

      Perform initial investigations on potential suspicious trading behavior

      Communicate findings to management and internal stakeholders through alerts and periodic reports.

      Work closely with Legal and Compliance when conducting internal investigations

      Manage the surveillance system´s alert reports and trigger criteria

      Drives improvements and enhancements of relevant pattern/scenario analysis in the surveillance system

      Performs regular risk assessments with regards to coverage and adequacy of the surveillance system/activities

      Who we are seeking

      Undergraduate degree in the areas of Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Business Engineering, Management Information Systems (MIS/CIS), Cybersecurity

      Work experience in and knowledge of Market Surveillance is required

      Work experience in and knowledge of energy trading is required

      Work experience with Anti-Manipulation and disruptive market behavior guidance and practices as issued by the CFTC and FERC is required

      Demonstrated familiarity of relevant regulatory agencies, criteria, policies, and restrictions.

      Work experience with ETRM trading systems such as CXL and Endur

      Experience with SCILA or similar trade surveillance systems preferred.

      Deep knowledge of enterprise trading surveillance management systems

      Familiarity with physical and financial Natural Gas exchanges like ICE and CME

      Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate and complete documentation of decision

      Team player with demonstrated experience of working with international teams and time zones.

      Critical mind-set & experience in understanding, improving and developing analytical tools to support surveillance activities would be an advantage
