Would you like to train as a High Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapist?
There are exciting opportunities to train with the University of Southampton and join Hampshire and Isle of Wight NHS Foundation Trust (HIOW), a large, innovative and transformational Talking Therapies service which is newly formed, merging Hampshire, Southampton, Portsmouth and the IOW Talking Therapy services.
This is a hybrid role with 60% of clinical work delivered in-person.

The university course is a Level 2 accredited course with BABCP, upon completion trainees will meet criteria to apply for provisional accreditation as a CBT therapist.
To be appointable to this post, you must meet the criteria for CBT training or have a BABCP-recognised professional background in mental health or related areas. See BABCP website for full list.
There will be progression to a Band 7 position within the service on completion of the course and gaining accreditation.
Interviews will be in June. You will be expected to complete a CBT assessment role play and, if successful, attend a second interview on the same day. Interviews will be in-person, the venue will be confirmed if you are shortlisted.

Main duties of the job
The successful candidates will undertake a 12-month training course at the University of Southampton. During this time, you will be trained to provide High Intensity Cognitive Behavioural therapy within a stepped care model for adults with common mental health problems, including depression and a range of anxiety disorders. You will be required to attend training at the University two days a week and working with a caseload of patients within service three days a week.
