      Job summary

      The successful applicant for this post will support the Head of School of Anaesthesia in the co-ordination and direction of Specialty trainingin Health Education England across the West Midlands.

      The programme currently has about 60 trainees and the post would be an ideal opportunity for an experienced educational supervisor /college tutor aiming to further develop their educational portfolio.

      Main duties of the job

      There is 1 Training Programme Director vacancy at 1.5 PA/sessionsThe Training Programme Director will ensure that national standards determined by the Royal College of Anaesthetists are adhered to and national and NHSE policies in Higher Specialty Training are implemented.The successful applicant will work closely with the Head of School, Deputy Head of School, Postgraduate Dean and the Faculty Support Team to produce doctors who will strive for the highest standards of patient-centered care and commit themselves to a lifetime of professional development.
