- Creation and management of predictive maintenance plans including vibration analysis, thermal imaging and oil analysis.
- Work alongside the calibrations engineer to ensure machine compliance.
- Machine Reliability improvements.
- Analysis of machine performance and identification and implementation of improvement actions to reduce / eliminate breakdown and minor losses on all machines.
- Generation and improvement of planned and preventive maintenance regimes in the factory.
- Creation, management, and monitoring of pm activities within the Mini Factories.
- Responsible for the creation and maintenance of engineering working procedures and relevant documentation.
- Maintenance procedural improvements.
- Maintenance workshop management and improvement.
- Root Cause analysis coordination on major breakdowns.
- Time served engineer with appropriate technical qualifications.
- A sound problem solving ability.
- Good communication and teamworking skills.
- Good technical knowledge of the plant processes and machinery.
- Self-motivated, focused and able to work on own initiative.
- Good organisation skills.
- Good I.T skills.
- Improvement mindset.
- Knowledge of TPM/RCM methods beneficial (training provided).

Reliability and Calibrations Engineer
Pirelli UK Tyres Ltd – Carlisle
We’re looking for an enthusiastic Reliability and Calibrations Engineer to join our Maintenance team in Carlisle.
The successful applicant will work 40 hours per week, from 08:00 – 16:00 Monday to Friday.
Basic salary will be £49,286 per annum.
Working across the whole factory this position is to lead the predictive, preventive and reliability Maintenance work as well as working with the calibrations engineer. Working closely with the maintenance mini-factory teams to provide thorough predictive and preventive maintenance plans and to ensure the reliability of machinery through improvements in systems and practices in the plant. Ensuring alongside the calibrations engineer that machines and documentation are calibrated as per quality control plan requirements.
The objective is to improve the Technical Availability of the plant, concentrating primarily on the machinery reliability that can contribute to this.
