      Position Summary

      The UNC Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Gynecologic Oncologist interested in a career in academic medicine. This is a full-time, open rank, clinical faculty position. The appointment rank and track will be commensurate with the chosen candidate’s experience and qualifications. The UNC Division of Gynecologic Oncology consists of 12 physicians, 2 division based nurse clinicians, 3 hospital based nurse navigators, and 6 fellows in training. The individual hired for this position will have major responsibility for the comprehensive care of patients (outpatient, inpatient and surgery) for the range of patients seen by the Gynecologic Oncology Division at Rex Hospital (Raleigh, NC), Cone Hospital (Greensboro, NC), and UNC Hospitals (Chapel Hill, NC). The assignment of this faculty will be at main campus (UNC Hospitals) with a second assignment at either Rex Hospital or Cone Hospital, but not all three. Patients include women with gynecologic cancers, cervical and vulvar dysplasia, and those with increased risk of developing gynecologic malignancies and benign complex gynecologic pathologies. This position will share night and weekend call with other providers. UNC offers excellent fringe benefits.

      Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

      Completion of a 4-year ACGME residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology and anticipated completion of an ACGME approved 3-year fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology by June 30, 2023 are required. Board Certified/Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology and in Gynecologic Oncology are required. Excellent qualifications and letters of recommendation required. Good communication skills and a commitment to provide care to the community.

      Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience

      Minimally invasive surgery experience is expected. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
