- Design, develop and maintain modern data architecture and data governance models that meet the organization’s data management requirements
- Implement data modeling and data integration strategies for API-centric data architecture
- Develop and maintain a data governance framework that aligns with organizational goals and objectives
- Support the implementation of our customer’s data governance team and collaborate with stakeholders to create data standards, data policies, and governance processes
- Develop and manage the data modernization roadmap to support the organization’s data transformation efforts
- Develop and implement data quality and data migration strategies to improve data accuracy, completeness, and consistency
- Lead the development of data products in the form of data lake houses, reports, dashboards, self-service analytics, data catalogs, data dictionaries, and business intelligence portals
- Apply master data management principles to identify whether and where to use master data solutions versus other modern data approaches.
- Build and maintain data pipelines and data workflows to support streaming data (e.g., Kafka) and improve data timeliness and availability
- Lead technical projects, manage stakeholders, and provide guidance to the data engineering team
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the required clearance for this role
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or related field
- Proven experience as a data architect, with at least 10 years of experience in data architecture, governance, and technologies
- Experience leading data governance efforts, creating data standards, and implementing governance processes
- Experience with data quality improvements, data migrations, and developing data products
- Experience with API-centric data architecture, data modeling, and implementation
- Proficient in master data management approaches, including identifying where and how to use master data versus other modern data approaches
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
- Experience with streaming data (e.g., Kafka) is desired
- Experience with modern data technologies including Oracle, Business Objects, Databricks, AWS, PostgreSQL, OpenAPI, Java Spring, and Kafka
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Work you’ll do
We are seeking a highly skilled data architect and software engineer with experience in modern microservice data architecture, data modeling, and data technology implementation. The ideal candidate will be proficient in API-centric data architecture for microservices, data and domain driven modeling and master data management. Additionally, the candidate should have leading data governance efforts, setting data standards, creating governance processes, managing a data modernization roadmap, and implementing data quality improvements. Experience with data modeling with API and microservice architectures/development is essential.
