      Amazon’s Recruiting Engine user Experience (RE-UX) team seeks a passionate and results-oriented leader to join our UX team. RE-UX is comprised of a group of UX designers and researchers who are responsible for driving the customer experience for the corporate recruiting and candidate experiences at Amazon. We partner with product, tech and science teams across RE to deliver research, UX strategy and designs through a user-centered design approach. Our recruiting tools are used globally by Amazonians and anyone who is thinking about working for Amazon throughout the entire recruiting journey.

      As a UX Design Manager of the RE-UX team, you will be responsible for the design of end-to-end recruiting experiences. You will manage a growing team of designers to craft elegant design solutions across a range of personas and platforms at a global scale. You will collaborate closely with product, engineering and science partners as well as design peers within (RE) and the broader People Experience Technology (PXT) orgs. Your team will directly own the Sourcing and Applicant experiences within our recruiting products. You will identify large scope product and long-term design vision to raise the UX bar for these domains.

      To succeed in this role, you must be an innovative self-starter in driving operational excellence and a strategic big-picture thinker. The candidate must have proven the ability to succeed in a highly ambiguous, fast-paced environment.       Key job responsibilities
      - Grow and lead a talented team of designers, responsible for end to end product experiences and features across desktop, mobile and more.
      - Manage the user experience design of multiple mid-to-large-sized programs through leading a design team.
      - Set vision for the organization and influence product strategic roadmap. Lead the discovery, strategize concept design and launch phases of a project.
      - Champion user-centered design culture. Drive creative process and collaboration with cross-functional partners to propose new ideas and strategies.
      - Model behavior that exemplifies Amazon Leadership Principles in their team. Raises the design bar for the organization.
      - Provide coaching and feedback, with an emphasis on growing senior ICs and leadership capability.
      - Create and drives adoption of design guidelines, mechanisms, best practices, process and tools.



      About the team
      We are a multidisciplinary team creating products that redefine recruitment to improve diversity, equity, and inclusion in hiring. Our team consist of designers and researchers, and is very diverse in terms of educational background, gender, race, skills, and location.

      We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

      Arlington, VA, USA | Seattle, WA, USA- 8+ years of design experience
      - 3+ years of leading design teams experience
      - Bachelor's degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI) or equivalent professional experience.
      - Experience in hiring and leading design teams that deliver end-to-end experiences with large scope and complexity.
      - Experience planning and executing effective customer research, solo, or in partnership with a UX Researcher.- Experience working cross-team and synthesize feedback and input from product management, engineering, testing, and marketing
      - Experience managing designers with demonstrated impact.
      - Experience in driving viable UX frameworks and product architectures in highly ambiguous environments.
      - Demonstrated ability to deliver large-scale strategic design initiatives with a bias toward scalable systems and patterns.
      - Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
      - Track record of successfully building, growing and retaining senior design talent, promoting strong creative team culture.

      Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $121,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $225,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
