  UX Researcher & Writer

  This is a unique role that compromises two critical aspects of product design: UX Research and UX Writing. This combination offers many advantages that contributes to a more holistic and user-centered approach to product development.

  You’ll be great at…

  UX Research

  • Conducting user research to understand various types of user needs, preferences, and pain points.

  • Planning, designing, and executing user research studies, including usability tests, interviews, surveys, and ethnographic research.

  • Analyzing and interpret research findings to identify actionable insights and make data-driven recommendations for UX improvements.

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and developers, to incorporate user feedback into product development processes.

  • Creating user personas, journey maps, and other UX artifacts to inform design decisions and improve user experiences.

  • Vocalizing improvements that you observe should be made to our existing products and overall design process

  UX Writing

  • Writing clear and effective UX copy for various flows within a digital product, including: onboarding, error messaging, validation notifications, CTAs and buttons, and tool-tips.

  • Providing feedback – be it your own thoughts or results derived from your UX Research – on UX copy decisions for digital products already in-market or near completion.

  • Writing microcopy for form fields, checkboxes, and dropdown menus that provide context and instructions to users while they fill out information.

  • Collaborating with product designers so they can focus maximally on design and minimally on all aspects of UX copywriting.

  • Ensuring UX copy consistency across different parts of a digital product’s UI. Tailoring content to specific user personas, ensuring that it addresses their unique needs and preferences.

  Who are you?

  • Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, User Experience, Communications, a related field or have relevant professional experience.

  • Must be eligible to work for Interac Corp. in Canada in a Full Time Capacity.

  • 2+ years experience as a UX Researcher, with a strong portfolio demonstrating successful UX research projects.

  • Experience in UX writing, creating compelling and effective content for digital products.

  • Proficiency in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.

  • Familiarity with UX design principles and best practices.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.

  • Knowledge of user-centered design processes and agile development methodologies.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
