      Job Description:

      Job Duck is seeking a dedicated and bilingual Legal Assistant to support a fast-paced law practice focused on criminal and traffic law, with additional exposure to real estate matters. In this role, you will act as a critical partner in daily legal operations, helping ensure clients receive timely, organized, and compassionate support-often during stressful situations. Your work will directly impact case flow, client experience, and the efficiency of the practice, balancing legal tasks with administrative coordination throughout the year.

      This position is ideal for someone who is self-driven, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing responsibilities independently while communicating clearly and professionally. Candidates who thrive are proactive, emotionally intelligent, and confident navigating legal terminology in a remote setting.
      • Compensation Range: USD 1,150 to 1,220 per month

      Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
      • Conduct legal and factual research as needed
      • E-file legal documents and court submissions
      • Balance legal work and administrative support based on seasonal workload
      • Draft legal motions and basic legal correspondence
      • Communicate with clients to gather information and documents
      • Schedule client meetings, phone calls, and court dates

      Requirements:

      • Experience in criminal law (preferably)
      • High attention to detail and accuracy
      • Strong organizational and time management skills
      • Independent and self-motivated work style
      • Emotional intelligence and client empathy
      • Ability to prioritize tasks and stay on top of deadlines
      • Professional written and verbal communication skills

      Work Shift:

      9:00 AM - 6:00 PM [EST][EDT] (United States of America)

      Languages:

      English, Spanish
