      What to Expect:
      We are looking for a Veterinary Communication Manager, Marketing and Canadian Veterinary Resource Centre for a 14-month contract role, working remotely from home, and reporting to the Director of the Professional Engagement Team.

      This position is responsible for the development of key communication initiatives for Purina Pro Plan Veterinary products. The successful candidate will be in contact with our Canadian marketing team and will support the development of the communications around core platforms and innovations, to ensure they are effectively communicating our message to the Canadian veterinary community. This role will additionally support the Canadian Veterinary Resource Centre (CVRC) responding to questions and requests for patient consultations from the veterinary community.

      A day in the life:
      • Promote Nestle Purina brand and product awareness through the Canadian Veterinary Resource Centre (CVRC)
      • Provide technical expertise and a high level of customer service while completing veterinary case consultations
      • Complete appropriate administration for data tracking and analyses of case consultations
      • Represent Purina at selected Veterinary Medical Association and professional organization meetings to maintain expertise
      • Canadian Veterinary Marketing Support
      • Assist marketing department in the development of technical training programs and resources for a variety of audiences including internal and external stakeholders
      • Provide technical support to field Veterinary Communications Managers and sales team through national training workshops, and seminars for core platforms and innovations
      • Provide input and support for the development of eLearning and training content
      • Proactively informs and advises on emerging nutritional trends & communicates them to internal and external customers

      Role Requirements
      • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree is required for this position
      • Current, active license to practice veterinary medicine in Canada is required
      • Board Certification in Internal Medicine or Nutrition would be an asset
      • 2 years of experience in small animal clinical practice
      • Experience in the Canadian Veterinary Industry or Academia would be an asset
      • Excellent computer skills, specifically with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, are required
      • Demonstrate a commitment to working in a team environment and inspiring excellence
      • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and leadership skills are required
      • Strong English communication skills and confidence presenting to both small and large groups are necessary
      • Knowledge of the French language is considered an asset
