- Collaborates with executive leadership of assigned clients to define the organizations long-term mission and goals, identify gaps, opportunities, key HR issues; identifies strategy and tactics to support the mission and goals through appropriate HR solutions and interventions.
- Identifies and reviews key performance indicators for the organization to assess the organizations success and market competitiveness based on these metrics. Partners with clients and HR COEs to develop realistic HR operational strategy and solutions (to include organizational effectiveness, recruitment strategy, performance management, compensation planning, succession planning, rewards/recognition and engagement and talent development) that supports linkage of business unit and operational strategies to corporate culture and objectives.
- Provides functional leadership, guidance & counsel to HRBP team supporting assigned clients, responding to issues in a timely and effective manner. Manages individual performance, fostering an environment of positive employee engagement & development. Maintains knowledge of laws, regulations, and best practices in employment law, human resources, and talent management. Ensures compliance with employment, benefits, insurance, safety, and other laws, regulations, and requirements.
- Establishes and oversees employee relations in order to maintain a positive work environment which encourages the full use of diverse talent and abilities; monitors all employee related issues associated with a positive workplace mindset. Serves as an employee advocate and responds to employee and labor relations allegations, investigations and communications.
- Provides guidance and leadership to the human resource management team; assists with resolution of human resource, compensation, health & welfare, Safety, compliance and Team Member engagement questions, concerns, and issues. Provides voice of the customer insight to HR COEs to ensure competitive compensation, benefits, performance appraisal, and Team Member recognition and incentive programs.
- Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.

Universal Orlando Resort believes in-person collaboration is key to our success. Many of our Team Members work in a hybrid capacity, contributing from the workplace a minimum of three days per week. JOB SUMMARY: Provides executive-level strategic human resource leadership and support to the organization and is responsible for setting, enforcing, and evaluating legally compliant human resources policies, procedures, best practices, and identifying and implementing long-range strategic talent management and engagement goals. Ensures the development, implementation and delivery of HR policies and practices are designed to improve business capabilities and Team Member engagement. Works closely with HR Centers of Excellence and operational business unit executives in supporting, planning and solving critical HR and Employee Relation issues to include compensation planning, succession planning, and staffing and development. Provides Strategic direction in HR functions, including positive workforce environment practices, employee relations, employee engagement and advocacy. Supports Company DEI efforts throughout all strategic initiatives. Influences and protects organizational culture, monitors and maintains compliance of Federal and state labor laws.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in Human Resource Development, Human Resource Management or Business Administration required. Master’s Degree in HR or Business, a plus.
EXPERIENCE: 12+ Years with at least 7 years of direct supervisory experience: HR experience required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
